As a way to draw increased awareness and attention to some of the standup sponsorship opportunities on our site, we’ve set apart one blog per month to put the “Spotlight on Sponsorship”! If you have a premium level listing on SponsorPark, and would like to have your event featured, please contact Stephanie.Lochmiller@SponsorPark.com to submit your event, as we are currently looking to fill our 2013 Spotlight calendar. This month our spotlight shines on the “Karaoke World Championships - USA.”

What is “Karaoke World Championships - USA.” all about?
Karaoke World Championships USA (KWCUSA) was formally organized in 2008 after initial start in August of 2007. KWCUSA is the exclusive partner to the Karaoke World Championships (KWC) of Finland. KWC has hosted the world championships since 2003 and currently more than 30 countries participate.

Each year, since 2007, KWCUSA has qualified one male and one female to represent the USA at the championships. In 2011 not only did KWCUSA have the world champion, Cassandra Jopp, but they also had a national television show on ABC called Karaoke Battle USA.

KWCUSA is known in the entertainment history and continues to provide expertise and talent to various networks and producers. Since January 2013 they have had calls from America’s Got Talent, NBC Today, Bar Rescue, BHE TV, and X-Factor.

What makes this opportunity unique?
This event is the largest and most prestigious karaoke competition in the world. KWCUSA is objectively judged and not based on popularity or pay to play. The competitions will live stream all regional and national events this year, thus greatly extending their reach.

Preferred partners?
With more than 15 million adult karaoke singers participating in karaoke outside the home at least once per month, including every age group and walk of life, this event lends itself to reach a broad audience.  Since many local venues are bars, the obvious sponsor category lends itself to alcohol and restaurant industries.  Other partners would include smart phone brands or travel companies.

This event holds the potential to become the largest singing event in the USA and beyond, so get in now!  To learn more about the event and to contact event organizers, visit their SponsorPark listing.
